For this years' Derby Days we were able to raise more than ever in our chapters history. The philanthropy was headed by Dave Musser and the commity consisted of Tristan Daily, Scott Hope, Caleb Caton, Chris Lane, and Chris Borges. We would like to thank the participating soroities; ΔΓ, ΚΔ, ΣΔΤ, ΖΤΑ, ΑΔΠ, and ΧΩ. To go with our theme of timeless ledgends each sorority was paired with a famous Sigma Chi. The famous Sigs were Luke Bryan, Brad Pitt, Mike Ditka, John Wayne, David Letterman, and Drew Brees. This years padgeant winner was Kappa Delta with their skit about the life of Brad Pitt, and for field day ΑΔΠ and ΔΓ tied for first place. Congradulations to Delta Gamma for winning overall first place, with Kappa Delta coming in second and Sigma Delta Tau coming in third. With the help of our sponsors; Keller and Williams, Global Surveying PA, D.T. Publisher of Tampa, Medlegal Consultant Services LLC, Red Door Entertainment, Qdoba Mexican Grill, and Henry Purcell Inc and all participating sororities we were able to raise a total of $7,500 for the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Congratulations
all newly initiated brothers! The theta beta chapter of sigma chi is proud to
welcome 17 new brothers into our order. Last semester can best be described as
a huge success for Sigma Chi. With the guidance of our fall philanthropy chair,
Will Pullin, we brought home a good amount of trophies from sorority
philanthropies: 1st place ΔΓ anchor splash performance, 1st
place ZTA Octobreastfest, 1st place ΑΔΠ King of the Court (Trenton
Powers USF ΑΔΠ MVP), and 3rd place ΣΔΤ Putting on the Hits. Great
successes on the intramural fields also highlighted our semester; 1st
place Greek softball, 2nd place Greek Flag Football, 3rd
place Greek Volleyball, 4th place Greek Dodgeball, and 3rd
place Greek Ultimate Frisbee. We look forward to carrying on the greatness that
was last semester, and incorporating everything that we learned from to make
this spring semester just as good if not, better. Keep an eye out for our rush
event dates to be posted later, as well as our dates for Derby Days 2010!
